When the neighborhood kids get together to play basketball, baseball, kickball, dodgeball, roller hockey, dungeon, tag, hide and seek, and any other game; they often have to do it in the street. This is not only unsafe but limiting on what the kids can do, plus they have to constantly be on the lookout for cars passing by. If you live on a busy road, playing in the street in any capacity is impossible. There is a time and place for play and legitimate sports training, and now you have the option to work both in from home. 

Let’s take a look at tennis lessons for a moment. Private lessons can run anywhere from $60-$90 an hour including court fees at private clubs. But if your home is the location of the tennis court for training, you can eliminate the costs for court fees at the local club. This can also leave the door open for friendly competition at home, after all, what kid doesn’t want to beat their parents are sports or anything else for that matter. 

A sport court at home is a great way to build friendly competition and keep sports fun. Just be sure to know your children’s limits as you don’t want them hating the new court because you’re constantly forcing them to train!
